I specialize in helping busy families design homes that are functional, comfortable, and deeply authentic.
I grew up in North Carolina, playing in creeks, collecting leaves and feathers, and reading everything I could get my hands on. When I was nine, our family moved into a new home and I got to choose the color of my bedroom walls (mint green).
Soon, I had selected curtains with a galaxy print, positioned my bed at an angle in the corner and added a funky five-armed floor lamp and a woven Mexican rug. Though those things didn’t go together on paper, I loved them, and that was all that mattered.
My goal as a designer lies at the intersection of those two childhood passions: first, getting to the root of what you love, and then, finding ways to make your home work better for you. I’m a vintage-hunter extraordinaire, and love bringing natural or locally sourced materials into the mix where it makes sense.
