I’ve always believed that the best spaces tell a story.
Long before I founded Cocoon Design Studio, I was fascinated by how thoughtful design shapes the way people feel. Whether I was choosing the paint for my childhood bedroom, laying out magazine pages, building brands, styling photo shoots, or helping organizations tell their stories through marketing and communications, I have been drawn to the same question:
How can design create a meaningful experience?
Today, that question guides everything I do.
Cocoon is a multidisciplinary design studio that blends interior design, creative direction, styling and brand storytelling. I work with homeowners, small businesses and hospitality clients to create spaces that are not only beautiful and functional, but memorable – spaces that reflect who they are and how they want people to feel.
My work spans residential renovations, historic homes, boutique commercial spaces, hospitality design, procurement, installation, styling and creative direction for photography and marketing. Because of my background in branding, publishing, editorial styling and communications, I approach every project with an eye toward both everyday living and visual storytelling. I think about how a room functions, how it photographs and how it contributes to the larger story of a home or business.
I’m also an avid vintage hunter and love incorporating pieces with history, character and craftsmanship alongside natural and locally sourced materials whenever possible. I believe the most compelling spaces feel collected rather than manufactured, and that good design should support the people who use it, not ask them to change who they are.
Whether we’re restoring a historic home, designing a meeting space or refreshing a family living room, my goal is the same: to create spaces with authenticity, purpose and lasting impact.
Thoughtfully designed spaces have stories to tell. Let’s write yours.
